World Bank Business Environment Report Seminar held at Exchange İstanbul Inc.
The seminar focusing on the questions and answers as well as country notes concerning Business Environment Report, published every year by the World Bank, case study (“Mr. James’ Case”) was held at the Exchange İstanbul Inc. Conference Hall on March 20th 2014. The seminar, began with the opening speech of the Exchange Market Council Vice President Bircan Akpınar, was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Economy, SPK, TOBB and TİM affiliated private sector.
Views and suggestions of the attendees were noted following the “Special Instance Explanation Index,” “Board Member Responsibility Index” and “Protection of Shareholders During Judicial Process Index”. Turkey, in the field of “Protection of Investors” has moved up 33 places in the index, moving to 34th place among 189 countries in 2014 from 67th among 185 countries in 2013.
