Turkey's total oil imports fell 7.2 percent in March compared to the same month last year.According to the "Petroleum Market Sector Report" of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority for March,Crude oil purchase of Turkey which constitutes the biggest item in total oil imports, increased by 7.2 percent to 2 million 686 thousand 485 tons.
In this period, the highest amount of crude oil imports was made from Iraq with 1 million 295 thousand 649 tons, followed by Russia with 485 thousand 826 tons and Kazakhstan with 306 thousand 156 tons.In this period, diesel imports decreased by 37 percent to 672 thousand 804 tons. The remaining part of the imports were aviation and marine fuels, fuel oil types and other products.
Thus, Turkey's total oil imports in March compared to the same month last year decreased by 7.2 percent to 3 million 525 thousand 608 tons.
Aviation fuel exports decreased by 33.4 percent in March compared to the same month of the previous year and decreased to 231 thousand 628 tons. Marine fuel exports decreased by 89.2 percent to 44 thousand 710 tons.In this period, the export of diesel types reached 302 thousand 565 tons with an increase of 61.6 percent, while the export of gasoline types decreased by 6 percent to 261 thousand 123 tons. together, total exports decreased by 30 percent to 967 thousand 351 tons.
